INTRODUCTION
In this data, we delve into a critical aspect of organizational performance: analyzing attrition in a company. Attrition, as we all know, is a challenge faced by organizations worldwide, its imperative that we address it effectively to ensure the continued growth and success of the company.
My mission is to explore the key factors, methodologies and actionable insights that can help us understand and address this challenge effectively.
In this post, I'll walk you through how we tackled this challenging task, step by step.
IMPLEMENTATION
The tool used for analyzing the process is Microsoft Excel.
To analyze this data, I used the 5 steps of Data Preparation; Prepare, Model, Analyze, Visualize and Manage.
Objectives: In every project, the first step is to set objectives and solve the problems that the analysis is set out to solve. List of objectives:
1. How much is the total amount going to people that are not staffs
2. How many person on the payroll are not staffs
3. Which employer type has the highest number of null staffs
4. Which gender has the highest number of people without a department
5. What is the total amount paid to Accounting, Legal, Human Resources department
STEP 1: Load Data
First, we open a blank workbook on excel sheet and go to Get Data > From File > From Workbook. Select the folder the data was saved on.
Next is to import the data to Excel by clicking on the data from our files > click on import > click on table > click on load
The data has loaded on excel.
TO CLEAN: To clean our data, we moved the data to Power Query. Click on Get Data and Click on From Table/Range to move our imported table to Power Query Editor.
I. HOW TO CLEAN OUR DATA: When cleaning our data there are important steps we take. Which are: Count Rows, Use First Row As Header, Remove Empty or Null Rows, Check Datatype, Check for Dirty Columns and Rows, Replace Missing Value, Remove Duplicates, ETC.

AFTER CLEANING AND LOADED BACK TO EXCEL:
2. Analysis
To answer the first objective, How much is the total amount going to people that are not staffs, I used the Department then filter only the NULL department which was replaced to Department in ROWS and Salary in VALUES
Objective 2: How many person on the payroll are not staffs, No Department from the Department in ROWS and Emp ID in VALUES
Objective 3: Which employer type has the highest number of null staffs, Employee Type in ROWS, No Department in FILTER, No Department in VALUES
Objective 4: Which gender has the highest number of people without a department, Gender in ROWS, No Department in VALUES, No Department in FILTER
Objective 5: What is the total amount paid to Accounting, Legal, Human Resources department, Filtered Accounting, Human Reasoures and Legal under Department in ROWS and Salary in VALUES.
3. VISUALIZATION
